Pros: Great intonation,fine finish,bright tone,very responsive
Cons:

I bought this used a couple of years ago. I wanted a sound somewhere between my trumpet and flugel and this horn worked out just fine for me. The fact that it already had a Reeves valve alignment may have helped the blow which is more open than the 2330II my daughter plays. I use Curry 3DC and 3TC cup mouthpieces with it and have never been disappointed with the results. The serial number inicates this horn to be about 15yrs. old and the valves are as tight as a new horn. I use it mostly for solo work where a trumpet might be just a little too edgy.

Pros: Awesome cornet. Wonderful tone. Quick response
Cons: none

I have had two other yamaha cornet models, the 2330 and the 6335h-uk. This cornet absolutely blew them away for me. While I enjoyed having the triggers of the 6335, this horn plays so much better for me. The fit and finish is on par with other yamaha products. If you are looking between models, this is built better than the 2330s. The valves are better. It is an easier horn to play. I find it ever so slightly brighter than the 8335. It also has a bit more resistance in the upper register which gave me something to lean against. Most cornet mouthpieces didn't give me a whole lot of support. Overall, I'm happy with it.
